Those wanting to audition will need to prepare a one-minute monologue or story to share, and bring a recent picture and short résumé to the audition. Actors age 8 and 9 may do a poem, monologue, or story.  Callbacks will be on Monday, August 29th starting at 5:30PM. All auditions will be held at the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

AUDITION DATES:
Monday, August 22nd from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Tuesday, August 23rd  from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Children of all cultures and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Please contact the IRT receptionist at sjuneja@irtlive.com or 317.635.5277 after July 1, 2016 to schedule your audition appointment and for additional audition information.

A Christmas Carol will begin rehearsals on October 24th and tech days are November 10th ─ 12th with an adjusted schedule for young actors. The first preview performance is on November 14th and the show opens November 18th (Rehearsals end). The show closes on December 24th, 2016 at 4:00PM. Many rehearsals are during the latter part of the school-day and all day on the weekends. There are approximately 26 public shows and approximately 32 maximum student matinees.  These show numbers are subject to change at all times. The student matinees are at 9:45 AM and 11:50 AM (or one at 10:30 AM) during the weekdays. Approval from your child’s school is absolutely necessary if cast.

This is a casting audition so we are unable to give feedback on the work your child does during the audition. We do have a strong classes program that runs two sessions during the season (fall and winter) and Summer Conservatory for Youth where detailed notes are given on the young actor’s work.

One of the best places to find audition material is at your local library!
