A Christmas Carol will begin rehearsals on October 24th and tech days are November 10th─12th with an adjusted schedule for young actors. The first preview performance is on November 14th and the show opens November 17th (Rehearsals end). The show closes on December 24th.
Many rehearsals are during the latter part of the school-day during the week and full day on both Saturday and Sunday. There are approximately 30 public shows and approximately 35 maximum student matinees. These show numbers are subject to change at all times. The student matinees are at 9:45 AM and 12:00 PM (or one at 10:30 AM) during the weekdays. There are two casts of young actors so the performances are shared between them however, approval from your child’s school is absolutely necessary if cast.
This is a casting audition so we are unable to give feedback on the work done during the audition. Detailed notes can be given on the young actor’s work in the IRT’s strong classes program that runs two sessions during the season and in one of the IRT Summer Youth Workshops, which at this time, include a two week camp and a four week intensive. One of the best places to find audition material is at your local library!
