The Indiana Historical Society has released the names of its 2017 class of "Living Legends," and the class includes a ballplayer, an arts administrator and several business leaders.
Since 1999 the society has assigned the title to only a handful of persons each year. They tend to come from disparate fields. That first class included basketball coach Bob Knight, writer Kurt Vonnegut and philanthropist Ruth Lilly.
