The $2 Access Pass Program is administered through The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis The Indiana Repertory Theatre announces its partnership with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis through its $2 Access Pass Program. The IRT is the first theatre to join 9 Indiana-based attractions that offer qualifying low-income families’ access to arts and cultural institutions for $2 per person per visit.
“The affordability of the Access Pass allows us to broaden our reach to families that receive state assistance, guaranteeing that they can take advantage of the fun and learning offered by institutions located in Bloomington, Indianapolis and Terre Haute,” said Suzanne Sweeney, IRT Managing Director. “All Hoosiers play a part in the IRT’s narrative and we believe that eliminating as many barriers as possible is crucial to providing an enriching, entertaining and life-changing theatre experience.” Beginning in 2018, Access Pass members will be able to enjoy one or all of the remaining five productions of the 2017-2018 season including The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse which presents Storytime theatre to patrons 3 to 8-years-old through the Exploring Stages program. Meanwhile, Romeo and Juliet—a heartbreaking love story told across generations—speaks directly to younger and older audiences alike. The remainder of the season includes Appoggiatura, Looking Over The President’s Shoulder and Noises Off. Access Pass families can book tickets to any IRT production one week before their desired performance date by visiting the IRT Ticket Office, or calling at 317.635.5252, and must present ID and Access Pass each time. Excludes Opening Nights, final weekends and December A Christmas Carol performances. Eligibility for Access Pass requires that any individual in the immediate household is enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SNAP and Hoosier Works and/or Hoosier Healthwise Insurance. To enroll in or renew an existing Access Pass, qualifying families can visit any other participating venue with required documentation and completed Access Pass application. Discounts cannot be honored if required documentation verifying enrollment eligibility is not available.
