ArtTalk is a new benefit for those individuals who donate $100 or more to the IRT each season.
ArtTalk is meant to provide unique, behind-the-scenes access to the art and artists of the IRT in a relaxed and comfortable setting at the Theatre. Our first ArtTalk event this season featured a panel discussion with some of the 30 writers who contributed to the creation of Finding Home: Indiana at 200. Our most recent event featured our production management team discussing how a show like Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner comes together and how being a co-production (a show produced and presented in partnership with another theater) changed the way the production was created. We will have one more ArtTalk this season connected to our upcoming production Miranda by IRT playwright-in-residence, James Still. The production had its World Premiere at Illusion Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. James Still will talk about what it means to have two productions of a new play as part of the play development process. We hope to see you at a future ArtTalk!
